With the NYC Performance series we wanted to showcase the creativity of the city. For this purpose, we invited New York artists to perform in front of landmark locations. We put these works of art, elegance and color on the video walls of Microsoft's New York City stores.
They were filmed with high speed cameras equipped with the largest internal memory possible. Before the actual shoots we rehearsed until we dropped in Riga. We wanted to master the camera workflow perfectly and eliminate all possible problems with the technique and talent choreography in advance. Still, our Phantom cameras got brain fried in the middle of the shoot. But that's what creativity is all about: solving problems and having fun doing it. The result of our efforts is a celebration of creativity and life.
