Client: Tele2

We were challenged with the task of providing a fun experience for Tele2's customers on the occasion of its 20th birthday. We thought: What’s more fun than flying? Therefore we treated the customers of Tele2 to jump out of a plane using WebVR on mobile. Filmed with 360 camera by our production team, users can look around the Spanish airspace during their descend with Tele2’s sky-diving team. A big party awaited them on the ground. The 360 VR film footage captured during the parachute jump was enhanced with WebGL to create in interactive website experience for leading mobile operator Tele2.

Just jump out of the plane and that's it? Sounds easy enough. But how do you control the camera when the camera operator is not allowed on a plane without a skydiver's license? Our solution: Teach the skydivers and repeat, repeat, repeat. After all, they had to operate under the most difficult conditions imaginable. Because it involved 360 degrees shooting in tight spaces (airplane) and high winds (200km /h). Fortunately, skydivers are no strangers to challenges.
